The Series

The 2026 season marks the dawn of the FIA Formula Regional European Championship era.
The series, reserved for the brand-new Tatuus T-326 single-seaters, will be held under full FIA status, with the organization and promotion of ACI (Automobile Club d'Italia), which has managed the championship since 2019.

Starting from 2026, the championship becomes an official FIA series, alongside FIA Formula 3 and FIA Formula 2. It fits perfectly into a driver development pathway, above FIA-certified Formula 4.

Since its inception, the Formula Regional European category has hosted over 160 drivers and has established itself as a reference platform for young talents progressing towards Formula 1. Notable former participants include 2023 champion Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Gabriel Bortoleto, Franco Colapinto and Isack Hadjar.
