Emanuele Olivieri topped the second Collective Test session at Spa. The Italian R-ace GP driver set the pace with a lap of 2:14.475, going 0.178s quicker than the time posted by championship leader Sebastian Wheldon in the opening session earlier in the day.
The MP Motorsport driver featured among the pace-setters to end the session second fastest, finishing just over a tenth adrift of Olivieri.
PREMA Racing’s Kean Nakamura-Berta backed up his third-place result from the opening session by once again ending the test in third. MP Motorsport duo Alexander Abkhazava and Zhenrui Chi followed in fourth and fifth respectively.
CL Motorsport’s Reno Francot continued his strong form after finishing second in the morning, securing the sixth-fastest time in the afternoon session. Francisco Macedo (Van Amersfoort Racing) and Jan Przyrowski (RPM) followed closely behind in seventh and eighth respectively.
Rodin Motorsport duo Alex Ninovic and Rookie Gabriel Gomez completed the top 10 in ninth and tenth places.
Notably, the top 26 of the 30 drivers on track were covered by just 0.978s at the end of the session.
Action resumes tomorrow with the 50-minute Free Practice session at 09:40 CEST, followed by Qualifying 1 at 14:45 CEST, with the field once again split into Groups A and B.
